Day 5 Thursday June 14, 2012
Started off with a light breakfast of homemade bran muffins, bagels, fruit, and yogurt. Then we had to say goodbye to Jim and Paula, as they left to go back to Chicago and we began our ride to Niagara Falls. We have many precious memories full of laughs from the last four days!
We had a about a 3 hour drive til we got to Niagara Falls. Went to our new bed and breakfast, Park Place Bed and Breakfast on the River Road along the gorge about a mile north of Niagara Falls. Our innkeeper, Carol, is a retired teacher, so we had lots to talk about!
All around are beautiful landscaping with fountains and private sitting areas. A beautiful home with an outstanding room.
We have a private balcony that is above a fountain that we can hear from our room. Really relaxing!
We have a jacuzzi and a sauna. I think we have everything we will need for the next four days! Our B&B is across the street from the gorge that is below the falls. Just beautiful, so far.
After a few glasses of wine and some cheese and crackers on our balcony, while we studied maps, etc. to plan our weekend, we went to Taps Brew House. We ordered a great couple of sandwiches, tasted some good beer, and got some good ideas for our own brew master, Matt, to enjoy back in St. Louis.
We walked back to our B&B for a good nights rest. Tomorrow we are off to Niagara on the Lake. See you then.
